Use Price Comparision websites in India
Step 1- How to choose the correct website to buy the phone?
Should I buy from Amazon or Flipkart or Tata Click or some other website?
The answer is use comparison shopping websites.
Comparison shopping websites are channels for collecting product information, including pricing, from participating retailers and then display that collective information on a single results page in response to a shopper’s search query. In this way, shoppers can compare prices, shipping options, and service from multiple retailers on a single page and choose the merchant that offers the best overall value.

Fair enough? You found your website from where you want to buy, Right? If yes, let’s move to the next step.
Buy through a cashback site
Now since you have completed step 1, i.e. You know which website is offering the best deal for the product you want to buy.
Step 2- How to get cashback from the website?
Yes, that’s right! You can still save more by getting cashback from the website.
If you’re buying online, make your purchase through a rebate or “cash-back” site. These sites often offer an additional discount of 3% or 4% on your purchases. You’ll pay the full amount when you buy but receive the discount back in the form of a cashback.
Getting started with a cash-back site is simple. You sign up, then visit the site before shopping online.
There’s no catch. Cash-back sites simply are sharing with you the commission they get from participating stores when you make a purchase.
Important– Your should make sure that you do not close the session after clicking on the cashback website and complete the payments in that session only.

Depending on the card and what you’re buying, you will generally save anywhere from 1% to 5% on your purchase or sometimes more than this. As with cashback sites, you’ll pay the full price at purchase but receive the cashback as a cashback or statement credit.

Important Tips and Tricks for Money Saving while Online Shopping
Safe Online Shopping
Always use trusted online websites. Do not go with any website that is just offering unreasonable discounts or offers. It may be a trap.
Always check if the website is secure or not. You can check it by looking at the URL address bar for https.
To get a less or cheaper price you should delete browser history
Why you must do this?
Once I was looking to buy 16 GB Pen drive from a shopping site, but the price was high. So I decided to wait for some days. I was expecting the lowering of price but day by day price was getting higher & higher. First, it was 720 Rs then 735 Rs.
I thought, this product is in high demand that is why the price is not decreasing, so I was compelled to buy that pen drive of 740 Rs.
Have you ever experienced this?
Fortunately, my friend told me that while online shopping you must open the window in incognito mode. Then I opened it and the price was dropped to 699 Rs only. The reason behind it is Recommended System.
Every shopping website has a recommended system, which captures your online activities like products you are looking for, products you like, etc. It sends cookies to your browser and you’ll see the products and their prices that are shown by Recommended system of the site. So be careful while shopping online. Always open shopping sites in incognito mode or in a private window.

Shop on the right day
Even if it seems tempting to spend your lazy Sunday afternoon browsing around various retailers, don’t cash out too fast. Most stores roll out discounts and special deals on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
However, Sunday is the best day to score cheap airline tickets with Monday being the most expensive, according to Airlines Reporting Corporation who analyzed over 130 million domestic and international over a period of 19 months.
Numbers speak for themselves: $432 is the lowest average price for a round-trip ticket on Sunday; $439 is Saturday’s average, while Tuesday – the former “cheapest day to buy airfare” turned out to average $497.
Sign up for the mailing list
Some retailers issue one-time use codes. To get these, you need to be on the VIP list, aka the mailing list. Sign up to receive newsletters from your favorite stores so you can get discount codes and sales announcements delivered straight to your inbox.
Just be sure to use a secondary email address so these messages don’t overwhelm your primary account.

Buy Discounted Gift Cards
The first step to savings is to buy a gift card — but not just any old gift card. Instead, you want to head to a website specializing in reselling gift cards at a discounted rate.
Amazon.in offers great discounts on gift cards. You can also buy gift cards from paytm as they sometimes offer a gift card of more value than the price.
Ask for price-drop refunds
Say you’ve purchased an item yesterday, but when you checked the next day, it was now on sale. Pretty frustrating, right? However, some websites will refund you the price difference if you contact them directly within a certain amount of days. For instance, Amazon will issue you a refund if you notify them within seven calendar days from the delivery date.
Some credit cards also go with price protection. That is, no matter where you shopped – you will refund the difference if the price dips within a certain amount of days.
Leave items in your cart/Abandon your shopping cart
Leave the products in your cart and step away for a day or two. Firstly, you’ve just avoided making an impulse purchase. Secondly, most retailers hate unclosed deals and will try to retain you. Stores that send coupons or offer a better price on the next day include Bed Bath & Beyond, Macy’s, JC Penney, Office Max and much more.
Remember the trick works only when you have an account on the merchant’s website and you are logged in when you leave your cart.
Online retailers track your every move. It’s undoubtedly distressing to them to see you with a cartload of stuff, only to close the tab and move along. That’s probably why you find a coupon code landing in your mailbox a day or two after you leave your cart.
To get this trick to work, you need to be logged in to your account so the retailer knows who abandoned the cart. Then put your items in the cart and leave the site.
Bargain with the customer service
Just discovered a juicy coupon at your email to realize it has expired two days ago?
Fret not! Ring up the hotline and ask if your coupon can be extended as you are about to make your order. Typically, sales reps are interested in closing the deal and will either give you a new promo code or extend the existing one.
It may not work each time, especially with low-priced items, yet it is always worth trying.
Alternatively, you can use live chats now available on most websites. Be polite and ask a few questions about the product you’d like to buy and then inquire if there’s any sort of discounts they possibly may have.
It’s not a well-known fact, but chat support can issue special promo codes that are not widely available.
We all do shopping online but these small tricks do not work for everyone but its worth giving a try.
